SICA's 62nd Art Festival held

South Indian Cultural Association organised a virtual Vocal concert in association with Hope Advertising Private Limited and telecasted in YouTube and Facebook on Thursday by Sushma Somasekharan. All members of SICA and music connoisseurs watched the program in large on youtube.com/hopeadtv/sica

Sushma Somasekharan is a Carnatic Vocalist based at Singapore and Chennai and supported by Nellai Ravindran on Violin and Sai Akilesh on Mridangam.

Sushma Somasekharan is a Carnatic Vocalist based at Singapore and Chennai. Sushma has performed in several prestigious organisations including Madras Music Academy, wherein she won the Outstanding Vocalist Award for her performance in 2017, Esplanade Theatres by the Bay Singapore, Indian Embassy Brussels, Indian Consulate Luxembourg, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan London and many more.

She recently toured the USA in April 2019 with Dr Gowri Ramnarayan as part of the DK Pattamal centenary celebrations. She also collaborated with in London with Mythili Prakash for her premiere of her production, Here and Now. Passionate about bringing Carnatic Music to the uninitiated, Sushma is also a lecturer at the National Institute of Education, Singapore.
