CBSE Board Exams 2021: 10 Important Updates Students Must Know

CBSE 2021 Exam: To put an end to the rumours, Union Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal "Nishank" and Dr Sanyam Bharadwaj (Exam Controller, CBSE) reiterated that the 2021 CBSE would not cancel Class X, XII board exams. Also, the Minister of Education clarified that competitive exams also would be held including JEE and NEET 2021. Later, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) issued a notice and said that it would communicate any decision on the dates of the CBSE exams Class X and Class XII at the appropriate time via the official website.

Here students can get a clear idea of the latest updates on upcoming board exams.

Practical exams: The practical exam will be carried out in the laboratories of the School when regular classes are resumed. In this regard, the board has not issued a notice yet. For the practical exams, an external examiner will be delegated.

An alternative option for practicals: By interacting with students, teachers and parents, the education minister said that if students cannot go to schools for practical exams, alternative options will be given.

Date Sheet for CBSE X, XII: CBSE Date Sheet for Class X, XII board exams will be posted after some time. The date sheet will be prepared only after consultation with interested parties. However, the exams will be held in such a way that students have more days off and proper gap.

Exam centres: the number of exam centres, but there will be no home centre. In the wake of COVID-19, only 12 students will be sitting in an exam room.

Exam Pattern: The exam pattern will be similar to the 2021 sample documents, issued by CBSE.

Schools to reopen soon: students will return to school soon, Nishank said. "17 states have reopened their schools with minimal attendance, other states will decide based on pandemic situations," he said.

CBSE Issue Notification:

The Central Board of Secondary Education issued a clarification yesterday. It said it would communicate any decision on the dates of the CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 exams at the appropriate time through the official website.

The notification read, "The board is well aware of the condition of the students and parents in the time of the pandemic and therefore, whatsoever decision would be taken by CBSE that will only be taken after consultation with all the stakeholders and will be communicated at an appropriate time at the official website."

JEE 2021: The Minister of Education hinted at a growing number of JEE Main attempts from two to three or four. "We are considering suggestions to increase the number of attempts for JEE Main from two to three or four," Nishank said, adding that there are no plans to cancel the exam.

NEET 2021: The Minister of Education, while speaking with students, teachers and parents, clearly shared there will be no cancellation of the medical entrance exam.
