Group 1, DL and other APPSC exams cancelled due to Coronavirus

Amaravati: All the competitive exams scheduled in the month of April are being postponed by the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC), in view of the spread of pandemic Coronavirus in the State.

As part of the containment measures to arrest the spread of Covid-19, the exams scheduled to be conducted by APPSC in the months of March-April 2020 stand postponed until further orders, announced the Commission.

The APPSC member Rupa Seva confirmed with this correspondent over a phone conversation on Sunday that the Commission has decided to postpone all the exams scheduled in April, including Group 1 main, Degree Lecturers and others.

Examinations for Computer Proficiency Test for Junior Assistants in Acharya N.G.Ranga University are due between March 30 to April 1. The Degree College Lecturer Examinations are scheduled to conduct on April 3 and 4. Like that, the examinations for Group I mains are supposed to be conducted from April 7 to 19. All these three exams stand cancelled.

On the other hand, the aspirants of these notifications also urged the APPSC to postpone the exams due in the month of April.

Dharani Krishna, an aspirant of Group 1 said that considering the risk of 8000 candidates and their families, it is better to cancel the scheduled exams and give fresh dates after restoring normalcy.
