Medha organizes Rubaru Season 5 for its alumni

Medha, a non-profit based out of Lucknow works towards employability & life skills development of youth from tier two & three cities of Northern-India. Every quarter, some of the most driven Medha Alumni are selected for Rubaru, a one-of-a-kind learning journey and through it are given the opportunity to travel independently, gain exposure of new places, people, and environments.

The recently concluded season 5 of Rubaru, was a trip to Bengaluru, with a focus on the ever dynamic and fast-paced technology sector. Participants got the opportunity to see first-hand how the 'Silicon Valley' of India has evolved into one of the innovation hubs of the world while interacting with the people and places that have made it happen.

16 young women and 14 young men, pursuing courses in various fields (Electronics Engineering, Civil, IT, BSc, BA, etc.) from Uttar Pradesh and Haryana visited Bengaluru for the very first time. Over the 3-day long journey, they were hosted by Accenture, Lenovo, Homelane and Selco. During these exposure visits, they discussed work-life balance, were introduced to future workforce trends in the digital economy and learned the importance of innovative solutions in the field of sustainable energy.

Referring specifically to the session with Srikant Iyer, Founder of Homelane, Abhishek a participant said, "Talking to Mr. Iyer motivated me so much to start working on my start-up idea."

Till date, Medha has successfully completed four Rubarus to Agra, Delhi, Mumbai, and Anand each with a different theme. Participants in the RuBaRu trips so far have visited major global brands like Microsoft, Bain, Amul, and Unilever, and explored their entrepreneurial passions.
