Delhi Public School in Visakhapatnam celebrates Annaual Day wtih "Cascade" as the theme
Visakhapatnam: It was a platform for many to bring their theatrical, dancing and singing skills to the fore at the annual day celebrations of Delhi Public School, Anandapuram, held at Gurajada Kalakshetram on Saturday.
With 'Cascade' as the theme, thought-provoking skits focusing on social issues along with impressive dance and music were presented as a part of the cultural show that enthralled the audience in the evening. Highlighting 'unity in diversity', students presented Classical and folk-dance forms of various states, including Kuchipudi and Bihu.
A song on 'water' centred on the school's current year theme 'save water as every drop counts' and performances based on conserve energy, making best out of waste and environment conservation, inspiring dance on women empowerment were some of the highlights of the show. Some of the students also showcased their skills in Western dance presentation.
Andhra University Registrar V. Krishna Mohan, who participated as chief guest, lauded the efforts made by the students to bring out various social issues through their cultural performances. He said it was one of the best ways to create awareness among people on the issues that plague the society.
Principal of the school D. Eshwari Prabhakar presented the annual report which includes the achievements of the school. She urged the students to celebrate their achievements, raise the bar and move ahead.
