Applications invited for national awards- 2020
Faridabad: The government has sought applications from teachers across the country for the ICT Award. July 31 is the last date for application. Office Correspondents will be honoured for teachers who have brought about the best chance in the field of education by using Information Communication and Technology (ICT). Applications have been sought from the government for the National Award for Teachers-2020.Teachers are awarded by the government for better use of ICT in education. Applications have been sought from the Central Institute of Educational Technology of NCERT for this award to be given by the government.
Government's plan to encourage teachers: These awards are given to teachers by the Department of School Education and Literacy in the Ministry of Human Resource Development.Under this scheme being run by Holistic Education, teachers are awarded awards for their significant contribution to the field of education. For this, schools including state government schools, CBSE, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Navodaya Vidyalaya, CISCE, etc. can apply for school awards. Instructions have been issued in this regard on the website.
Applications can be made till 31 July. For the year 2018 and 2019, a total of 91 awards will be given to teachers in different categories.Along with the application form, teachers will also have to send their entire portfolio. At the same time, giving information about the ICT project being run in the school, it has to be told how the work is being done to alleviate the problems of the students or improve education. Here is the application process:
The school teacher will send his application to the District Education Officer through the principal. The DEO will send the names of the selected teachers to the Chairman of the concerned board CBSE, KVS NVS. After this, the teachers selected by the board will make a presentation in front of the award committee about their project. The final winning teachers will be awarded a medal, laptop, and certificate.
The purpose is to improve the quality of teachers said Satinder Kaur Verma, District Education Officer. Such awards are given by the Central and State Government to improve the quality of education in schools and to encourage teachers.
