College Day at VJIAS
Hyderabad: The city based Vignana Jyothi Institute of Arts and Sciences (VJIAS) celebrated College Day, VJoys-2k19 at Hari Hara Kala Bhavan.
The Vice-Chairman, Telangana State Council of Higher Education, Prof R Limbadri graced the occasion as chief guest and addressed the students about changing education system in the state and the country.
He said lack of good degree college in the state is driving the students to leave for other states in pursuit of good degree college. He said the Government of Telangana is planning to start good degree level education institutions which can provide education at degree level.
Vignana Jyothi Institute of Arts and Sciences is providing good degree education and management of Vignana Jyothi is supporting the cause of education, he said. The colleges should change the old methodology of teaching and adopt new types of learning methods, he said. The technology is growing fast and the students should learn those technologies to become successful in life and careers, he said.
The students should learn inter personal skills to reach higher levels. The colleges too should improve their teaching techniques and impart quality education to the students, he added.
The General Secretary of Vignana Jyothi, K Harish Chandra Prasad asked for value- based education in the colleges and also thrust for committed improvement in education. He advised the students saying that you have strength and energy to reach higher levels in your life. Time is very important in every body's live so the students should learn Time Management to be successful.
The President of Vignana Jyothi, Dr D N Rao, said students are future of the nation. So, the students should focus on their priorities and work accordingly to be successful. In these days the progress of the nation is measured on materialist progress. But the progress should be measured not on the materialistic growth but on happy state of mind, that is Happy Index, he said.
Earlier the Principal of the college, Dr N Aruna and Director, Dr. D Vijaya Prasad briefed the progress of the college and achievements of the student at different college competitions in the state. Prizes were distributed by the Chief Guest to the meritorious students. Later, cultural fest was organised by the students.
