Country needs supply chain management strategies

Visakhapatnam: For proper utilisation of natural resources both agriculture and ocean-based, the country hardly needed a better supply chain management strategy, observed by Costal India Development Council (CIDC) Chairman Dr.GVR Sastry here on Friday at GITAM Deemed to be University. He participated in a specially arranged programme to deliver a distinguished talk on "Vision, Innovation and Leadership on the Global Business Strategy".

While addressing the students he said that the country must focus towards ocean based economy to explore the abandoned natural resources. He mentioned that integrating of sea ports across the coastline and establishing a integrated multipurpose warehousing is will play a key role for costal India development. He said that costal energy reforms, agricultural reforms, creation of beach development boards, Island development are some important areas to focus. He briefed about Antarvedi Integrated Ocean and Industrial Development Authority which is proposed in Andhra Pradesh. He said that the present government is focussing on tri nation's integrated costal express highway to cover Indian coastline which is considered as mass inclusive economic growth project.

He said that each individual must frame a personal vision document and work strategically to achieve the vision goals. He pointed that the human wisdom is more powerful than a search engine and every one must believe on their own strengths to achieve the goals.

GITAM Deemed to be University Vice-Chancellor Prof K Sivaramakrishna, GITAM Institute of Management Director Prof.Y.Gowtham Rao, Programme Coordinator Dr.Radha Raghuramapathruni participated.
