Students in Hyderabad reacted on this issue to The Hans India. Hamthai, a degree student of UoH said "I'm pleased to see Ruby's story, girls must be encouraged to study so that they can become rubies for our nation…Through taking steps to increase girls ' position through education, literacy, and training, by empowering their quality. I'm happy to see Lucknow University taking part in encouraging Schools and Universities to inspire girls like Ruby, and we can see that girls are steadily being accepted in society."

"Ruby has done an excellent job, and I applaud the NGO Group's plan on taking her over this prestigious position of HoD as part of the International Day of the Girl Child, which aims to promote children's rights and justice for women. The growth of any nation is inevitable when there is equality between the sexes, so every woman must be empowered, like Ruby, so that they can become a bright light for our country in the future". said Anumika, a degree student of St. Ann's college.

"Looking at the Ruby example, as a 19-year-old girl who manages HoD's desk at Lucknow University is an incredible thing, it demonstrates that girls are also better off, I admire her leadership skills, so our mission should be to turn girls students into capable, well-trained professionals, responsible citizens, and help women so that they can win daily challenges. Yet it is sad to see that girls are still being looked down in many parts of our country. Parents are unable to see a bright future for girls, women are still facing dowry, polygamy, incest, custodial molestation and many other harassment and atrocities. Our country must work towards gender equality, raising girls to equal boys so that they can demonstrate their potential to lead the way into the future" said Selah, president of student council of St Pious X Degree College.

When presenting her to students of MA sociology, Prof DR Sahu,Head of the sociology department, had compared Ruby to Greta Thunberg, a young environmental activist. "Just as Greta is sensitising the world about the issue of climate change, Ruby is also sensitising girls in dozens of Lucknow villages to continue their school education," said Prof Sahu, who also presented her with a memento.
