Girl students take out rally against drug abuse

Hyderabad: The students of RBVRR Women's College held a rally on the occasion of International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking on Wednesday.

The rally was initiated by Secretary cum Correspondent Dr. Muthyam Reddy, Principal Dr. K Sarada and Vice Principal Dr. Achyutha Devi in the college. It was organized by Dr. Jeevana Jyothi, Head of the Department of Chemistry and Forensic science of RBVRR Women's College.

The rally was conducted in collaboration with the Narcotic Control Bureau, Hyderabad sub-zone, Ministry of Home Affairs in which the second and final year students of BtCFs participated. The NCC students of the college also took part in the rally holding up placards. The traffic police, Cyberabad offered protection for the students and accompanied them from the college to Sundaraiah Park in Bagh Lingampally and back. The aim was to create awareness against drug abuse, smoking, alcoholism, and use of tobacco among local people and to educate them about the health risks associated with illicit drug use.
