GITAM faculty gets Illinois scholarship

Visakhapatnam: Georgitta Joseph Valiyamattam, Assistant Professor, Department of Applied Psychology, GITAM School of Gandhian Studies, GITAM Deemed-to-be University, Visakhapatnam has been selected with full scholarship for the prestigious Human-Animal Studies Summer School to be jointly organised by the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign and the Animals and Society Institute.

In addition, her research papers in the area of Animal-Assisted Intervention for children with Autism have also been selected for presentation at the International Society for Anthrozoology's Annual conference at Florida, and the 2019 annual convention of the American Psychological Association at Chicago.

GITAM In-charge Vice Chancellor Prof K Siva Rama Krishna and Registrar Prof. KVGD Balaji congratulated Ms. Georgitta who was also previously a Fulbright-Nehru scholar 2016-2017.
