GITAM faculty receives 'Best Research Scientist' award

Hyderabad: Dr Muvvala Venkatanarayana, Assistant Professor, School of Technology, GITAM (Deemed-to-be University), Hyderabad has been titled as 'Best Research Scientist' of the Year 2019 in the field of Chemistry.

It has been awarded in the South Indian ASDF Awards (SIAA) 2019 recently held at Hyderabad. After various stages of evaluation and verification subjected to the policies framed by the awards committee. Out of 6348 nominations 24 were eligible for the preliminary selections.

He received this recognition for his credit of 24 national and international papers in the area of organic and medicinal chemistry. He also attended and delivered research presentations in more than 20 conferences.

He is having eight years of teaching and research experience at GITAM, Hyderabad. He completed his PDF (Post Doctoral Fellow) at IISER, Trivandrum. Presently four research scholars have been working under his guidance.
