GITAM holds SWISH Hackathon

Visakhapatnam: The Directorate of Training & Placements, GITAM joined hands with Info Bridge & DENSO Group, Japan to conduct SWISH Hackathon – Andhra Pradesh 2019 as part of Sunrise Indian Innovative Student Recruitment 2019 Program here on Monday at GITAM Deemed to be University campus. DENSO Group is one of World's largest automotive supplier group of technology and components for almost all vehicles around the globe. DENSO is ranked firstin the world in the automotive parts industry in terms of R&D expenditure.

The "SWISH Hackathon 2019" was conducted in two rounds: Online Ideation for the registered students and second round Hackathon in which students had to present new and innovative solutions to an existing or emerging problem. DENSO International India Private Lt d R&D Centre Head Kuniaki Ueda, Info Bridge Team consisted of Naho Shigeta, Masa Yamamoto, Fumika Iwasaki and Arvind Srinivas participated in the Hackathon.

The Japanese team shortlisted the students from selected colleges across Andhra Pradesh basing on the online presentations. The students from GITAM, Venkateswara University, Gayathri Vidyaparishad, VIT, ANITS and MVGR have competed in Final round of SWISH Hackathon-Andhra Pradesh 2019.

GITAM Deemed to be University students M Pranay Prema Sravan, Y.Chanakya andANITS engineering college student Prema Sravan team won the first prize of Rs. 50,000 for their project idea on Crop Management / End to End Farm Management Application. C.Srikar, V.Harshini and Nazeer Shaik from GITAM along with Ajay Merapureddy from GVP won the III Prize for their idea on AI Navigation app.
