Hall of Fame Awards function held at DPS

Hyderabad: DPS Mahendra Hills (Feeder School of DPS Nacharam) honoured its achievers in the field of Performing and Visual Arts, Sports and Academics. The ceremony began with the lighting of the lamp by Principal Sunitha Rao and Head Mistress Neetu Gupta Puri. Principal Sunitha Rao accorded a warm welcome to the august gathering. She congratulated the students for their stellar performance in Academics, Sports and PVA. She stressed on the importance of school life that provides a rich platform to create multifaceted value system and the necessity of instilling good moral values and life-skills in children and proudly shared the good work.

The staff at DPS MH (Feeder School of DPS Nacharam) focus on 3 components of Health, Environment and Values across the school year. Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Atal Tinkering Lab, STEAM projects are regularly showcased by the students. Many students are benefitting from academic, sports and performance & Visual Arts Scholarships.

School not only creates opportunities and platforms to nurture each individual child's potential but also provides a mentor-mentee programme and academic support leading to a balance in managing time. School takes pride in offering personalized education integrated with multiple intelligence approach and differentiated instruction. High focus has been on integrating digital tools in teaching & learning with online teaching, online quiz & online concept tests.

Child prodigy Master Darsh Malani of class 6 was felicitated by Principal and HM on behalf of M. Komaraiah Chairman DPS & Director Pallavi. He was conferred the Rashtriya Bal Shakti Puraskar by President Ram Nath Kovind on 22nd January in the Rashtrapati Bhavan. Darsh was part of the Republic Day parade that was live telecast on Doordarshan. He was also felicitated by our Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Telangana Home Minister Mohd Mahmood Ali and many other political leaders.

A total of 8 students received the sports scholarships in major sports like Swimming, Skating and Cricket. Juhith of class 6 won 2 Gold and 2 Bronze medals at the 57th National Roller Skating Championship 2019 and at state level he won 4 Gold and 4 Bronze medals. Adithi of class 5 won 2 Gold, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze at Nationals and at State level she won 4 Gold and 1 Silver medal. Bhargav Ram of class 6 won 3 Gold medals at State level swimming competition. Mohd Taha of class 7 a cricketing champion won the "Man of the Match" trophy in U-18 league in Hyderabad District. He was selected as the Captain of U-18 India Vs Sri Lanka one day match.

11 of our school athletes participated in Sub Junior and Cadet level In-line hockey skating competition at National and State levels. Parents expressed their gratitude towards the school and the management for providing a platform for their children to excel in their chosen fields. The event concluded with gleaming faces of children delighted and motivated to move ahead and take pride in achieving many more milestones in the future.

Chairman M Komariah, Director Mrs. Pallavi, Principal Ms Sunitha Rao and Headmistress Neetu Gupta Puri, K Sarita Admin Manager and Robin Michael congratulated Darsh Malani and other students on this momentous occasion.
