Hyderabad: Nord Anglia partnering with Oakridge International School towards Driving students to be makers of tomorrow
Hyderabad: Nord Anglia Education (NAE), the world's leading premium school's organisation, held its "Education Advisory Board meeting" in India for the very first time at Oakridge International School, Hyderabad. Lord David Puttnam, Oscar winning film producer, member of the UK House of Lords, and Chairman of NAE's Education Advisory Board, chaired the meeting and discussed how Nord Anglia partnering with Oakridge International School will lead to benchmarking the educational excellence and the Vision & Mission of Nord Anglia towards driving students to be the makers of tomorrow.
He also discussed new ways to further raise academic standards and improve student's achievement across all of Nord Anglia Education. Dr Joseph Polisi (former president of Juilliard) hosted a presentation and workshop to an audience of more than 350 students on the performing arts and global citizenship. Dr Kai-ming cheng led a presentation on the science of learning for Oakridge staff. Lord David Puttnam also interacted with the students, who gave a traditional welcome by performing classical Kuchipudi dance, treating the guests with their diverse talents. The dance performance orchestrated by students with impressive expressions and flawless movements which left the audience spell bound.
After the welcome, the guest's attention was drawn towards the art galore, where the depictions were mesmerizing. The visit was further made cheerful by the story line presentation of students on the importance of Child rights followed by an Explosive Nukkad Natak on prevention of plastic to conserve the environment. The eyes of the guests were filled with glare of vibrant colors of splendidly done paintings, craft models and portraits. While the art of Children's hearts captivated the moments, the performances and the story line created a pleasant and supremely well-coordinated ambience.
Dr Terry Creissen, Managing Director, Nord Anglia India said, "We are delighted to welcome members of the Nord Anglia Education Board who made such a positive contribution to the development of our teachers and students". Every member of the Board addressed sessions for our teachers and students during the course of their visit, adding value to our schools learning as much from our confident, intelligent and truly amazing School students as for our equally skilled and highly qualified staff. They left feeling proud of our schools and looking forward to returning in the future.
