Kendriya Vidyalaya Tirumalagiri celebrates Annual Day

Hyderabad: Kendriya Vidyalaya, (KV) Tirumalagiri celebrated its 55th Annual Day in Secunderabad on Monday. Brigadier MD Upadhyay, Deputy GOC, TASA & Chairman, VMC, KV Tirumalagiri graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Principal of the Vidyalaya, Shri G Rama Rao welcomed the Chief Guest and the gathering and presented the Annual Report giving a roundup of the academic year 2018-19. He also highlighted the achievements of children in academics, sports and cultural events.

Brigadier Upadhyay gave away the certificates and prizes to children who showed excellent performance in academics, sports and various events. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Guest appreciated the achievements of the students in various fields and applauded the efforts and hard work done by the staff. He took the occasion to exhort the parents and teachers to guard the young children against misuse of internet and the evils it brings, especially social media in the context of the present day scenario.

This was followed by a spectacular cultural show presented by the students. The cultural show includes items like Welcome dance, Classical dance, Harvest festival dance, German dance, Ballet with five elements, Dandi march and Gujarati dance. The Dandi march was the highlight of the event. Brigadier YS Kumar, Nominee Chairman, VMC KV Tirumalagiri, officials associated with the school and large number of parents were present on the occasion.The programme was concluded with the vote of thanks by K Lalithakala, PGT (Chemistry).
