Microsoft selects Gitam students
Visakhapatnam: Campus placements at GITAM Deemed to be University are off to a great start with Microsoft job offers being rolled out in first phase of recruitment session. Several IT companies also started their recruitment process in GITAM. The wave of large number of recruiters in GITAM campus is a positive signal for engineering students this year.
During the recruitment process IT Multinational Microsoft has selected three students namely JVM Amulya, S.Sai Charan and Praveen Sai Sadasiva from GITAM Institute of Technology for the roles of Associate Consultant, Premier Field Engineer &Project Manager with a package of 10.87 Lakhs. The students underwent a preliminary online test followed by a series of technical and HR interviews by Microsoft India University Recruiting Team, informed by GITAM Training and Placements Director, Gurumoorthy Gangadharan.
Microsoft in its efforts towards engaging GITAM student community through its academic initiatives has introduced Microsoft WISE (Women In Software Engineering) Programme in GITAM. Two batches of girl students from III Year have been chosen based on academic excellence for remote projects focusing on development of BOTs. The selected students are being guided by GITAM Faculty and mentored by Microsoft professionals. The progress of the projects is reviewed periodically by the Microsoft professionals at their Hyderabad campus. Efforts are on by the Directorate of Training & Placements to bring Microsoft WISE programme to the Campus this year too.
