Music album launched for social cause
Hyderabad: An album on social causes titled Fundamentals - Rap studies by Pradyumna, a Class IX student of Suchitra Academy School, Kompally, Hyderabad has been launched . Part of fundamentals album, Yeh hai India is its first video song. It was launched by actors Ramya Naresh, Sreedhar Rao, Vaibhav Surya, Leena and Lohit at Mercure hotel on Wednesday.
The song portrays the journey of a young boy experiencing and learning about Indian culture and heritage. This indian sojourn is wrapped up into a rap song sung by Master Pradyumna and enacted too.
Fundamentals is an album of seven songs on topics like, the first song Yeh Hai India that is on Indian culture and heritage; while the others talk about Traffic in Hyderabad, Save water, Pollution control, Abolishing child labour, Career choices and Health and nutrition for a Healthy India. The next proposed date of launch for more songs in this album is September 15.
Music director, Sashi Preetam of 'Gulabi' fame said, 'Music is a very strong influencing medium. Songs were sung to soldiers before war to motivate and create patriotic fervour, Songs are sung to celebrate victory, some of the time immemorial love stories are remembered with their love themes. For that matter, music is even effective as therapy to cure people. Such strong medium of expression and communication will always help in propagating social messages of relevance.
