Relationship building is an art. It works positively through feedback, acknowledging ideation, appreciating skillsets of others, & good listening skills.

Collaborative skills help people work together efficiently through shared opinions and emotions. Collaboration is the process of two or more people or organizations working together to complete a task or achieve a goal. It increases team work & problem solving techniques.

In collaboration, one works together with people snd teams from different backgrounds and skillsets to accomplish goals that benefit the organization. Collaboration involves working alongside with people from diverse businessess to meet a shared goal. It involves dealing with internal and external stakeholders.

Accordong to Vedavarenya Belagam, Class X of Oakridge International School, Collaboration is the process of producing something by working as a group. I practice collaboration by acknowledging everybody's perspectives and supporting them to brainstorm, this way there is most productivity in less time.

I practice group projects and even making strategies while playing a game. My ambition in life is to be a travel journalist. There is a lot of collaborative skills required as travelling to foreign places includes a lot of communicating as well.

This way there is more clarity and effectiveness in the work. My role model who has taught me how collaboration leads to success is Steve Jobs, who founded Apple and is known for his Democratic leadership by always collaborating with his employees and took ideas from them.

As a key skillset, sharing of information happens and this enhances the overall development. Networking improves among various segments of people. It helps the organisations to be more competitive.

Collaboration is the creative process of a group of people working towards a common goal, and a collective understanding and learning of something new through certain ideas and visions. It is the key component of creative exploration and exchange.

Collaboration requires a suitable work environment, which enhances a calm and positive attitude ensuring success and development towards the desired goal.

It also entails cooperative and open-minded teammates to work with, who can add on to your ideas and together produce the sought after results. The crucial traits that can be adopted by a group of individuals to yield appropriate results are:

♦    A positive collective attitude

♦    Encouraging creativity and change

♦    Remaining enthusiastic and curious

♦    New resources, tools and technology

Siddharth Kunapuli Class X of Oakridge International School says in t oday's world, the act and meaning of collaboration has changed for the better with the introduction of advanced technological methods and has redefined the creative process itself.

With collaborative efforts going on in the world, new products and processes have changed our outlook on life completely: This goes on to show how the collective efforts of a team and the creative thought processes that occur in a collaboration can change the world for the better. My role model is Larry Page, business giant who is intelligent, driven, ambitious and more importantly collaborative.

Collaboration happens both in an open ended and close ended way. In open ended there is flexibility which is open to new ideas and innovation. Close ended mostly deals with specific issues by addressing them in a smaller audience.

Collaboration happens in 3 dimensions: cross functional involving people from different backgrounds in the organisational functional areas, cross cultural involving different cultures and through social media.

Good culture sets an example to all on the innate cultural values and ethos an organisation stands for. Building trust is paramount both internally and externally. Leading by example is an important ingredient.

For an organisation, its benchmarking and for an individual,

it is creating excellence. Creative culture drives innovative trends by making an organisation unique and people stand out.

Collaboration in the present age makes things simpler both for organizations and its people. Successful Collaboration involves having the right people, definite goal, choosing to be open or close ended.

Approaches to collaboration may be manifold but the end goal is the same. For an organisation to ally itself with its people, it must meet the larger purpose and the end goal.
