One online entrance exam, many institutes
COMEDK-Uni-GAUGE caters to 100,000 students, 190 institutions and 31 Universities accepting scores thereby making it the second-largest multi-university private engineering exam in India.

Hyderabad: Karnataka Professional Colleges Foundation, in their endeavour to offer an effective, fair and objective testing procedure to determine merit of students seeking admission to the member institutions, have formed Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK).
COMEDK Undergraduate Entrance Test (UGET) and Uni-GAUGE have come together to conduct Online Engineering Entrance Exam-2020 at over 158 cities in 400 centres for 100,000 students across India. Online Entrance exam will be held on May 10la.
Last year over 85,000 students attempted the exam from all over the country. Out of that 10,000 students were from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
COMEDK UGET Exam is for admissions to B.E/B. Tech, for colleges affiliated to the Karnataka Professional Colleges Foundation Trust. The uni-gauge exam is for admissions to B.E/B.Tech courses at leading and reputed deemed/private universities and institutions across India.

"Every year, approximately 2,000 students from Telangana apply for this exam. About 90 per cent of these students are from Hyderabad and Secunderabad.
COMEDK is an attractive option for students in Telangana as many of them prefer to pursue engineering in Bangalore, the IT Hub of India.
Students opting for the Uni-GAUGE exam can also seek admission to B. Tech courses at KL Deemed to be University-Vijayawada. This year we expect approximately 3000 students to take the exam from various centres in Telangana.", says P Muralidhar, CEO, Era Foundation.

We have also observed a marked increase in the number of students taking the entrance test from outside Karnataka. As a result, the widely popular COMED-K exam has provided the perfect gateway for admission to engineering courses being offered by more than 190 colleges and institutes in the state" says Dr S Kumar, Executive Secretary COMED-K
Eligibility- All candidates who have passed or are currently pursuing a Pre-University Course (PUC) or 10 +2, any equivalent exam as approved by AICTE are eligible to apply for the entrance exam.

Hyderabad, Bhimavaram, Kadapa, Anantapur, Vijayawada, Rajamahendravaram, Kurnool, Chittoor, Guntur, Tirupati Nellore, Kakinada, Visakhapatnam and Puttur.
