PHRASAL VERBS
A phrasal verb is a combination of two words, usually a verb and a preposition or a verb and an adverb, which carries a unique meaning. The use of Phrasal verbs gets effectiveness and vividness to English language and the following are the newly added phrasal verbs to the English vocabulary.
1. Sleep out: sleep away from place of work or rented accommodation
2. Flash by, flash past: move very fast
3. Flash around: show something to make sure people know about it
4. Flash back: suddenly remember
5. Torque up: excite, inflame
6. Amount to: be successful, total
7. Ward off: stop something bad or harmful happening
8. Win round, win over: persuade someone to support you
9. Win back: win something that you had lost
10. Win out: succeed after a difficult process
11. Win through: succeed after a struggle
12. Blow through: consume something very quickly
13. Button up: conclude an agreement
14. Die on: die or cease to function at an important time
15. Nuzzle up to: touch someone / something affectionately, especially with nose or head
16. Cuddle up to: position your body very close to someone
17. Cotton up to: ingratiate
18. Snuggle up: lie or press yourself close to someone.
