Satyasree Gupta: Training over 4,000 teachers in 18 years

It was in 1998, Satyasree Gupta was announced as the topper in the 10th standard board exam in a school of Vijayawada. The girl never looked back from there and influenced thousands of students and teachers.

Earning while learning

Teaching, self-dependence and innovation were perhaps in her blood. While studying in the second year of bachelor's degree, Mrs. Gupta started working as a teacher.

Not just growth; it's a quantum leap

Soon after the graduation, she was selected as a mid-school teacher in a reputed school outperforming 500 candidates in the interview. She became the first lady teacher to work in the IIT wing. Opportunities were unlimited. She soon became content developer and coordinator for Mathematics. She then stepped up from Mathematics and worked on overall aspects of education.

Academician: Different areas; working differently

Satyasree has touched almost every arena of education system. Teaching, teacher training, curriculum design, implementation of technology in education, Research on education systems of different countries, review and implementation of the best practices in education across the world, authoring of educational book series, the list goes on. In her overall professional experience of 18 years, more than 4000 teachers have been trained and inspired by her and she has reached millions of students directly or indirectly.

Educational leadership and innovation

Step-by-step growth from teacher post to the All India Academic Head for a reputed institution has made her understand different areas, challenges and best possible solutions. A wide range of subject knowledge from Mathematics to Child Psychology, from Computer Science to Design Thinking has made her a versatile leader. Research on the best practices in education systems of different countries and implementation of them in Indian schools make her stand different among other educationalists.

Awards, rewards and recognitions

Gupta is one of the very few Indian authors to have her article published in the LEAD journal published by the ICSL(International Council for School Leadership). She is a part of the question paper setting committee of Indian Association of Physics Teachers, Pune. Her visits to Finland and Switzerland to study the best practices at schools added to improvise Indian schools. Intelligent Minds Trust awarded her with Excellence in School Education Award at The British Parliament in 2019. Innovative thinking, ethical approach and emotional touch – blend of all these make Ms.Satyasree Gupta one of the greatest educationist of present times.

Considering Satyasree Gupta's immense contributions to the field of education, on the occasion of its 15th Anniversary, All the Best Arts Academy presented the most prestigious 'Vidya Seva Ratna Award – 2020' to her on Sunday in Hyderabad. The award and the awardee are going to honour each other in the event.
