SSC results: Jagtial bags top honours

Hyderabad: In the SSC exam results that were declared on Monday, Jagtial bagged top honours with highest pass percentage while Hyderabad once again was relegated to the bottom.

In fact, 24 districts got pass percentage in excess of 90 per cent. Jagtial was at the top of the table with 99.73 per cent, closely followed by Siddipet at second with 99.33 per cent and Karimnagar at third position with 98.38. In fact the first three positions when to North Telangana districts.

Authorities listed pass percentage of 31 districts. Although two new districts were announced by the government (Mulugu and Narayanpet), their data has been included in Jayashankar Bhupalpally district and Mahabubnagar district (from which they were carved out) for this year.

Following the top-3 districts were Sangareddy ( 98.2), Rajanna Sircilla ( 97.73), Jayashankar Bhupalpally (97.5), Medak ( 97.49), Nizamabad (97.2), Jangaon (97.15) and Kamareddy (96.63) that made the top-10 list.

Districts that are part of Greater Hyderabad were not even in the top-20 list. Medchal ( 92.9) was in 21st position with Ranga Reddy (92.83) at 22nd position.

Warangal (Urban) was in 17th position while Warangal (Rural) stood a little higher at 14th position.

The last three places went to Hyderabad, 31st position with 83.09 pass per cent, Mahabubnagar at 30th position with 83.33 and Bhadradri Kothagudem stood a little higher than the bottom two with 84.10 per cent.
