Student induction programme held at RBVRR Women's College

Hyderabad: RBVRR Women's College organised a one week student induction programme from July 18-26 for students admitted to all UG courses for the academic year, 2019-2020. The objective of the programme was to introduce students to the various aspects of the college and prepare them to achieve academic excellence in future. Prof. V.Venkata Ramana, Vice – Chairman, Telangana State Council for Higher Education (TSCHE) was invited as the Chief Guest of the Inaugural Function held. Principal, Dr K. Sarada welcomed the gathering. Correspondent cum Secretary, Prof. K. Muthyam Reddy addressed the parents and students. Prof. V.Venkata Ramana, spoke on the use of technology and empowerment of women.

Dr. J. Achyutha Devi and Vijaya Pavuluri introduced the students to the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) and faculty members of various Departments, clubs, committees and cells interacted with the students. Prof. Venkat Rajaiah, University College of Technology, Osmania University spoke to the students about the importance of Yoga and fitness. Prof. V. Vishwanatham, Former Professor, Osmania University, Member, IMPACT, introduced the role of values and ethics in academic life. Prof. Purushottam Reddy, Environmentalist and Professor, Osmania University spoke about the effects of environmental hazards and rules for a sustainable living. Prof. Muthyam Reddy delivered the lecture on 'Rules of Life.' He elaborated on the significance of right conduct in institutions. Former Professor, Osmania University, Dr Sumita Roy, spoke about Soft skills, Time Management and Leadership skills on the final day. Students from different disciplines were encouraged to share their feedback. The program was followed by cultural activities that showcased the talent of the students in various creative ways. The programme ended with the vote of thanks proposed by the Vice-Principal, Dr. J. Achyutha Devi.
