Three-day DAV National Sports kickstarts in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Dayanand Anglo Vedic School's All India Sports Tournament (Under 19 Boys) kickstarted for the first time in South India in a grand scale with 4000 students participating in the inaugural ceremony of the three-day sporting extravaganza on Tuesday at Indoor Stadium, International Sports Complex in Gachibowli, Hyderabad.

Dr Ramesh Kumar Arya, Vice President, DAVCMC was the chief guest for the inaugural ceremony. Speaking on the occasion he said, "DAV is growing further and will see expansion soon to help many more students to get educated. DAV has 900 schools and four lakh teachers across the globe shaping 35 lakh students every year. The determination of DAV staff and the managing committee is the reason behind the rapid raise of presenting an utmost quality education. DAV students achieved 168 awards in national competitions and hoping this will continue further."

Speaking about the successful inauguration of DAV National Sports in Telangana, Seetha Kiran, Telangana Regional Officer, DAV said, "This is just the beginning of the extravaganza and there is much more to see in next two days. It's a great honor to get an opportunity to host DAV National Sports for the first time in South India. DAV always opts for a holistic approach to get connected, coordinated with utmost concern towards students and that's the reason DAV students could exhibit their best all the time in every event."

JP Shoor, DAV National Sports Co-coordinator expressed his desire to conduct many more DAV National events and encouraged students to participate in every tournament. DAV South Zone coordinator VNNK Seshadri has put his best efforts for the balanced coordination. Credit goes to DAV team and DAV students for their cooperation said Seshadri. Competition among the students to clinch medals is boosting the energy levels for the three-day DAV National Sports in Hyderabad, it's a great pleasure to see home state hosting a national event as well it's a great responsibility, said Vasantha Raman, Principal, DAV, Kukatpally.

Paul, Presiding officer, Mahesh Chopra, Secretary, JK Kapoor, Rita Kapoor, RK Talwar, NC Sharma were the other dignitaries present on the stage. Minoo Aggarwal and Uma Maheshwar Rao, Regional officers, AP Zone, the DAV Principals Parthipan, Anandhavalli, Prabhakar were the other people behind the successful hosting.
