VITEEE -2019 entrance exam to continue till April 21

Amaravati: Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE)-2019 began at VIT AP campus, Amaravati on Wednesday, said VITAP Vice chancellor Dr D Subhakar. VITEEE, the computer-based exam is conducted for admission to various undergraduate programmes offered by VIT at its campuses in Vellore, Chennai, Bhopal and Amaravati during academic year 2019-20.

The entrance examination is being conducted for admission to 17 B. Tech programmes offered at VIT, Vellore campus, 7 B. Tech. programmes at its Chennai campus, 8 B.Tech. Programmes at the Amaravati (Andhra Pradesh) campus, and 9 B.Tech. programmes at the Bhopal campus The test is being conducted in three sessions daily, from 9 am to 11.30 am, 12.30 pm to 3 pm and 4 pm to 6.30 pm

Dr CLV Sivakumar, Registrar, told that online entrance examination will be held at various exam centres across the world till April 21. He said that 1, 62,000 students would appear for the online entrance examination across the world 167 examination centres. He said about 45,149 students were appearing from both Telugu states.

Examination centres were setup in Dubai, Qatar, Mascot & Kuwait also. Thousands of students across the country from all the states enrolled for the entrance examination. Students from Andhra Pradesh (29,122), Uttar Pradesh (17,469), Tamilnadu (16,583), Telangana (16,027), Maharashtra (14,798) were enrolled. Among the cities, Hyderabad topped the list for maximum applications with 13,574 applicants, Vijayawada 9,815, Delhi 9,094, Chennai 7,943, Kota 6,005, Vellore 2,694 and Bhopal 1,654. The results of VITEEE 2019 will be released in the VIT website, www.vit.ac.in by the end of April 2019.
