‘Don’t sell your land to Bengalureans’
Bengaluru: Shivanahalli village is next to the highway, DCM DK Shivakumar on Tuesday appealed to the villagers not to sell the land to Bengaloreans for any reason. Speaking at the Bhoomi Pooja and Shila Pooja program for the restoration of Veerabhadraswamy temple in Shivanahalli village, DCM Shivakumar said, “There is KMF dairy, Kanakapura town is going to grow here. So, I appeal to everyone, don’t sell the land. PGR Sindhia has been saying this for decades.
‘I can’t directly put money in your pocket, build a house, God has given you the power to increase your property values tenfold. You can give education to your children and grandchildren. Keep in mind that people from Kanakapura are not from Ramanagara district, they are from Bengaluru district’, he said.
‘One day or the other, the villages here will become Bengaluru, it will be priced per foot. So, keep my words in your mind. I am not going to discuss publicly about making Kanakapura district headquarters’, he said.
We have come to believe in the strange practice of worshiping thousands of gods in Hinduism. Everyone else worships the same god. He said that there is no God for Bhakti.
Veerabhadra is a form of Shiva, the God who protects the gods themselves. He said that we should act like the saying that any religion has only one principle, if there are hundred names, only one God, if there is worship, only Bhakti, if there is karma, only loyalty, and if there is one God, there are many names. A lot of efforts were made to save the Veerabhadra temple. MP DK Suresh spoke to the National Highways Authority, saying the project map could not be changed. Now a new temple is being built by the grace of that god, he said.
All hands are for work and donate, DK Shivakumar, PGR Sindhia all hands are for donating. It is our duty to do God’s work. We have given a new look to more than 300 temples in Kanakapura taluk. He said that we can write a book on how many temples have been renovated since we are representative of this constituency. At present, I will not say publicly how much I will help the Veerabhadra temple.
