Karnataka changes diet for Covid-19 patients
Bengaluru: Karnataka government issued orders for the officials to provide quality and nutritious food suggested by the doctors to Covid-19 patients who are receiving treatment in various hospitals.
Speaking on the occasion, an official said, "Aimed at improving immunity power in the patients, they shall be provided with nutritious food."
As per the orders passed, breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided at 7 a.m., 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. simultaneously. Seven different items were served in an order for breakfast followed by fruits watermelon, papaya and musk melon.
Roti, curry, dal, palya and rice were served in lunch and dinner. As evening snacks, banana, protein cookies and dates were served to the patients. One glass of flavoured milk was also given daily after dinner.
The updated diet will benefit 8,194 patients who are getting treated across the state.
