After two years in Karnataka, the second batch of school uniforms has arrived. After two years, the state's second batch of uniforms for government schoolchildren is finally arriving.

As schools have begun courses, the Samagra Sikshana Abhiyan (SSA) has issued a circular directing School Development and Monitoring Committees (SDMCs) to acquire uniform cloth, stitch it, and distribute it to pupils in grades 6 to 10. SDMCs have even been given the option of choosing their own uniform colour. The SDMCs, on the other hand, have been directed to use the monies released for the purchase of the second set of uniforms, according to a circular dated October 4, 2021.

Especially today, the second set of uniforms will only be provided to pupils in grades 6 to 10, and the SSA has requested that procurement for grades 1 to 5 begin shortly once physical classes have resumed for these students.

However, it is believed that the dresses were used to be distributed in the beginning of the academic session. Leading to a shortage of money, the same was postponed. The Department of Public Instruction will provide the first set of uniforms, while SSA will provide the second set with funds from the Union Ministry of Education.
