Dry, sensitive or oily skin, almonds are useful for every skin type. Here are some ways you can use almonds in your skin care.

Simple soaked almonds

If your mother has ever told you to eat soaked almonds, heed her advice.

Almonds offer great nourishment but soaking them overnight eliminates the toxic substances in their coating.

Almonds contain vitamin E that protects your skin from ageing and internally heals damaged tissues, giving you glowing skin.

Almond oil

This fragrant oil is filled with nutrients that not only help nourish your hair but are good for your skin too.

It helps moisturise your skin and its hypoallergenic properties heal irritated skin.

You can apply almond oil directly to your face, but if you have oily skin its best to dilute the oil before using it on your face.

Make a face pack of almond oil, honey and lemon for radiant skin.

Honey will soothe your skin and prevent acne due to its anti-bacterial properties and lemon contains citrus which will cleanse your skin.

Butter and almond oil

Almond oil is rich in vitamin E which maintains the elasticity of your skin and prevents wrinkles from appearing on your hands.

Butter, on the other hand, will moisturise your hands.

Take 2 tablespoons of butter and 1 tablespoon of almond oil and mix well. Apply it on your hands and leave it on for 10 minutes.

Rinse with warm water. Do this once or twice a week and you will notice a difference in the skin on your hands.
