Engaging students during Covid-19
Hyderabad: Miracle Foundation and CCI (Child Care Institute) have teamed up to conduct brainstorming and education programmes to cover the syllabus of children's education. As many as 771 students are benefited by the organisation.
It has 17 child care institutions in seven different states and children from vulnerable regions, orphans and who need support for education are being helped in Telangana by Miracle foundation.
"Students are encouraged to read in the library of the CCI, classes are being conducted remotely by teachers and computer classes are being held online by the computer instructor through Skype or Zoom.
Wherever possible, aptitude testing, career counselling and life skills education sessions are also continuing online.
Additionally, children are also being encouraged to play more outdoor games and various corporate volunteers are conducting remote sessions on various topics," said Rajitha, a volunteer of Miracle Foundation.
With help from volunteers, CCI is conducting Spoken English class. These activities are followed regularly across CCI institutes.
Other classes like computer, revision, library and English have also been followed by staff as per the syllabus.
The computer instructors attend a regular webinar on "teaching online" which was organised by NIIT Foundation to teach children in a better way.
"Our corporate volunteers are also conducting activities which are of interest to the children remotely.
The idea is to keep the children occupied in a fruitful manner," Nivedita DasGupta, India Country Head, Miracle Foundation India.
