The Association for Cyber and Data Governance (ADCG), a US-based professional association that specializes in data governance, data privacy, data protection, cyber compliance information (and) education to professionals in the financial services industry has appointed Sowmya Tejha Kandregula to the Advisory Board Member on June 19, 2020.

"Mr. Kandregula is a wonderful addition to the ADCG Advisory Board," says Carlos Solari, chair of the ADCG advisory board as well as the former Chief Information Officer in the White House under George W. Bush. "His impressive track record of successfully delivering client solutions for large and complex projects spanning multiple domains across different geographies will be an enormous value addition to the association."

Sowmya Tejha Kandregula, a senior data governance leader with over 14 years of experience, joins a growing advisory group that leads thought leadership for the association. Incidentally, Sowmya Tejha Kandregula is the first Indian and also the youngest member on the association's advisory board.

With the changing landscape of privacy laws such as General Data Privacy Regulation (GDPR) and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), increased movement of data onto the cloud, and a greater dependency on quality governed data for machine learning and Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions, ADCG is expected to play a more definitive role in guiding organizations towards data governance, data privacy and cybersecurity.

Sowmya is a regular speaker at international conferences about the growing importance of data governance, data privacy, and regulatory compliance.

On June 20th, 2020, Sowmya presented a webinar titled "Building Blocks for a Successful Data Governance Career" on behalf of ADCG which was attended by a large number of data governance aspirants from US, India, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom & Singapore.
