Ingredients Needed
• Lady's Finger - 200 gms
• Oil - 1 1/2 tbsp
• Onion - 1 (Chopped)
• Finely Chopped Kashmiri Chili Powder - 2 tsp
• Ginger Garlic - 1 tsp
• Coriander Powder - 1 tsp
• Garam Masala - 1/2 tsp
• Cumin Powder - 1 tsp
• Gram Flour - 1 tbsp
• Cumin Seeds - 1 tsp
• Coriander Leaves
• Red Chili - 2
• Curd - 200 grams
• Kasuri Methi
• Salt - 1 tsp
Process
• First, you need to wash and dry the okra on a cotton cloth. Then cut them into 2-inch sized pieces.
• Next, add oil to a pan and heat it…Saute the chopped okra pieces until they change their colour. Spoon out them and set them aside.
• In the same pan, add cumin seeds, red chillies, asafetida and curry leaves… After they crackle, add onion and let them fry until golden brown.
• Thereafter add ginger-garlic paste and turmeric powder. Saute them until the raw smell goes off and then add coriander powder, cumin powder, kasuri methi, salt and gram flour.
• Saute them for about 2-3 minutes and then add the whisked curd. Now, allow the concoction to cook for about 5 minutes on a medium flame.
• Next, add enough water and bring it to boil… Now goes in the fried okra pieces.
• Mix well and close the lid and allow it to cook for about 5 minutes. That's it! Mix well and dish it out…
• Garnish with coriander and enjoy the tasty Dahi Bhindi with either roti or white rice…
