The moon will cast its shadow on the earth by coming in between the sun thereby blocking the light. The moon will not cover the Sun fully which will create the Ring of Fire impact. The Surya Grahan which will begin at 9.15 am will end by 3.04 pm and can be best seen at 12.10pm. The duration of Surya grahan is expected to last six hours.
As per religious beliefs, the sutak period (considered inauspicious) begins 12 hours before the start of the solar eclipse. When to have a bath during an eclipse?
The solar eclipse is bound to have an effect on you (negative or positive) which is why we abstain from everything during the period. So it helps to take a shower after the end of the eclipse. Pandits also advise purifying the house with gangajal after the eclipse ends
Are special instructions for pregnant women?
Pregnant women too must follow all the instructions mentioned above. Even though they are allowed to eat to prevent them from falling sick, it would help for them not to sleep during the duration of the solar eclipse.
