The Grand 22nd TANA National Conference from July 4 in Washington

The 22nd Biennial TANA Grand Conference will be held at the Walter E Washington Convention Centre in downtown Washington DC, from July 04-July 06, said its president Satish Vemana.

As the power of integration and unity is leading to our success as a community is our central idea as represented through our conference theme "Ikyata Naipunyam and Purogamanam" -standing for unity, skill, and Progress.

Fondly, called TANA, Telugu Association of North America has been espousing the cause of Telugus in America and reaching out to its brethren in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, wherever the need arose.

TANA has been organizing many cultural, social programs since its inception. Especially its fundraisers for the societal cause are a big hit. It has been doing its mite in mitigating the sufferings of the Telugus.

TANA has taken up the mantle of fulfilling needs and aspirations of the North American Telugu Community, and Telugu all over the world. It is endeavoring to integrate the Telugu Cultural heritage into the mainstream of North America.'

It is a role model and the most sought after not-for-profit organization Telugus from all over the world look up to for the past 35 years. In the promotion of arts and culture, TANA's efforts are unparalleled.

Actor and Politician Pawan Kalyan as one of the dignitaries of TANA will be attending the event to be held from June 4th to 6th in the USA this year.

The 22nd conference of TANA, which will take place in Washington DC, will see more than 22,000 people of Telugu diaspora taking part in the three-day event. The association has invited Pawan Kalyan as the Chief guest and it is learned that he has accepted the event on July 4th.

Besides Pawan Kalyan invitations has been sent to many dignitaries in Telugu speaking states. The invitee's list includes US President Donald Trump, Vice president Venkaiah Naidu and Chief Minister of Telangana KCR and TDP President Chandra Babu Naidu.

TANA in its 40 years of existence has done service activities to the extent of Rs 700 crore. TANA has 40,000-lifetime members, Mr. Satish informed.

It is after a lapse of about 12 years that Washington DC has been chosen as the Venue. Previously it was organized in the capital city of the USA in the year 2007. It was graced by then-President Bill Clinton.

Plans are also afoot to organize Srinivasa Kalyanam under the aegis of TTD during the sessions besides chalking out a road map for the promotion of Anamaiah kirtis to benefit the children of Non-Resident Indian (NRI)s.
