AP Municipal Elections 2021 Live Updates: All set for the municipal elections in Andhra Pradesh and the State Election Commission has made all the arrangements with authorities are prepped up for the conduct of polling on Wednesday in a total of 12 municipalities, 71 municipalities and city panchayats in the state. The SEC first gave notification to 75 municipal and city panchayats in the state and the municipalities of Pulivendula in Kadapa district, Punganur in Chittoor district, Macharla and Piduguralla in Guntur district have already been unanimous. Meanwhile, as many as 78,71,272 people will use their right to vote on Wednesday from 7 am to 5 pm.
More than half of the total 7,915 polling stations are located in troubled areas and police have been heavily deployed. A total of 48,723 government employees will be using the services for polling. Counting will take place on March 14.

71.06 pc polling in Nellore
Four municipal towns in the district registered 71.06 pc of polling by 5 pm on Wednesday. Naidupet recorded the highest of 76.97 pc, and Sullurpet registered the least of 63.80 pc.
71.52% votes polled in Srikakulam district by 5pm
59.69% voting in Vizianagram till 4pm
Parvathipuram recorded 70.69%, Bobbili 71.69%, Saluru 69.42%
61 pc polling in Nellore up to 3 pm
Nellore registered 61 pc of polling in the district in four municipal towns up to 3 pm on Wednesday. Polls are being conducted in Atmakur, Sullurpet, Naidupet and Venkatagiri. Till 3 pm, Naidupet recorded 69.6 pc and Sullurpet with 56.47 pc of votes.
District Collector KVN Chakradhar Babu visited some polling stations in n Atmakur municipality and observed the process. He said as voters can franchise their vote up to 5 pm, there is a chance for the highest poll percentage of 80-85.
