Andhra Pradesh News: Mummidivaram Sub Inspector M. Pandu Dora was suspended on Sunday on charges of negligence in dealing with a murder case. Relatives of the deceased, Ramakrishna had lodged a complaint with Mummidivaram police that the person had disappeared but the SI Pandu Dora allegedly neglected the complaint. Later, the relatives approached the High Court which gave directions to the police to initiate a probe into the case. The SI then registered a case and started an investigation. The probe revealed that a petrol bunk owner S. Srinivasa Prasad murdered Ramakrishna with the help of a woman. Eluru Range DIG K. V. Mohan Rao issued suspension orders to the SI.
Telangana News: Around 180 people including 100 trainee sub-inspectors have tested positive for coronavirus in Telangana State Police Academy (TSPA). While some of the infected persons have been sent to Gandhi Hospital others were put in quarantine in the academy. Read Full Story
