Ramesh Kumar calls on Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan
Amaravati: In the light of observations of the AP High Court, Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar, State Election Commissioner called on Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan and represented the case for facilitating assumption of charge forthwith as State Election Commissioner. In this occasion, Ramesh Kumar said that the Governor was sympathetic hearing and assured that he would look into the issue represented. He said that he was optimistic of an early and favourable outcome as well as resolution of the issue through the intervention of Governor.

AP govt to distribute 8th phase of free ration from today
All the ration cardholders in Andhra Pradesh will be given free rice and other groceries from today (Monday) to the 28th of this month. As per the directions of Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy to help the poor who are losing their jobs due to the covid-19 virus, it is known that ration have already been distributed seven times for free of cost to the beneficiaries through the public distribution system.
As part of the latest 8th installment, 5 kg of rice per family will be distributed for free of cost to those whose names are registered on the card. More than 1.49 crore families will benefit from this.
