Coronavirus in India: India on Monday reported a decline in the daily COVID-19 infections as the country logged 3,06,064 new COVID-19 cases with a positivity rate of over 20 per cent, said Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. As per government data, new infections were 27,469 less than that reported on Sunday. However, the daily positivity rate rose to 20.75 per cent from 17.78 per cent yesterday.
Notably, 14,74,753 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours while 18,75,533 tests were conducted on Sunday. The ministry has said that India's active caseload currently stands at 22,49,335. It accounts for 5.69 per cent of the total cases.
Coronavirus in Andhra Pradesh: Andhra Pradesh reported 14,502 fresh Coronavirus cases taking the total tally to 21,95,136 cases across the state. While coming to fatalities, seven deaths reported in the last 24 hours taking the toll to 14549. On the other hand, as many as 4800 new patients were cured in the last 24 hours taking the total recoveries to 20,87,282 and there are currently 93,305 active cases.
According to district-wise data, Visakhapatnam district reported 1728 new infections, followed by Anantapur 1610 and Prakasam 1597 while Krishna has logged the least cases with 482 new cases in the last 24 hours.
Chennai reported 6,296 Covid cases in the last 24 hours.
Tamil Nadu detected 30,215 new Covid cases in the last 24 hours; test positivity rate at 21.1%
Kerala reports 26,514 new cases in the last 24 hours. Test positivity rate at 47.7%.
West Bengal reported 4,456 new Covid cases in the last 24 hours. Kolkata detected just 496 cases, down from 973 yesterday
5,394 new cases and 8 deaths reported in Jammu & Kashmir today. Active case tally at 44,609
Delhi reports 5,760 new cases & 30 deaths in the last 24 hours. Active cases stand at 45,140. Today's positivity rate down to 11.79%
Goa recorded a further dip in new Covid infections, detecting 1,387 cases in the last 24 hours. Case positivity has dropped to 32.45%. With five more mortalities, the toll has reached 3,615.

Sharad Pawar tests Covid positive
Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) president Sharad Pawar announced that he has tested Covid-19 positive on Monday, and has started the necessary treatment.
"I have tested Covid positive, but there is no cause for concern. I am following the treatment as suggested by my doctor," said the 81-year-old leader.
