TS Gov to set up ration shops in 125 new Tribal GPs
Civil Supplies Minister Gangula Kamalakar on Monday said that the State Government was planning to set up Fair Price Shops in 125 new Tribal Gram Panchayats.
They include 111 Tribal Grams Panchayats in Adilabad district, 10 in Mahabubabad, three in Jagityaland one in Komurambheem-Asifabad district.
The minister, in his reply to a question raised by MLC V. Gangadhar Goud during Question Hour in Legislative Council, said that the proposal was under examination and a decision would be taken at an early date
Telangana achieving good results in renewable energy: Jagadish Reddy
Energy Minister Jagadish Reddy on Monday informed the Legislative Assembly that Telangana was achieving good results in the utilisation of non-conventional (Renewable Energy) energy resources.
Replying to a question raised by TRS MLA Balka Suman and others during Question Hour, the minister said that the State Government released Solar Power Policy 2015 to encourage solar power in the State. A tariff order was issued for encouraging the waste to energy power projects in the State.
The Minister said that the total renewable energy in Telangana increased from 3,600 MW in 2017-18 to 2,894 in 2018-19 and 3,943 in 2019-20. Giving details of targets fixed for the next years, the said it is planned to tap 2,092 MW from Grid Connected Solar through NTPC/SECI; 50 MW from Grid Connected Solar Rooftop programmes; 500 MW through Kusum Programme under Component A and 62.5 MW from Waste to Energy programme.
11.91 lakh women benefitted from KCR Kit scheme: Eatala Rajender
Health Minister Eatala Rajender on Monday said that the institutional deliveries have increased in government hospitals in the Telangana State after the introduction of the KCR Kit scheme.
Replying to a question raised by TRS MLA Dr. Anand Methuku and others in Legislative Assembly during Question Hour, the Health Minister said that there were 209,130 institutional deliveries in the year 2016-17. This number increased to 259,335 in 2017-18; 277,383 in 2018-19; 288,844 in 2019-20 and it was 258,341 in 2020-21, as of February 28, 2021.
The Health Minister claimed that as many as 11,91,275 women have benefitted from this scheme so far. He said an amount of Rs. 1,175.94 Crore has been spent on KCR Kit Scheme from 2017-18 to 2020-21.
Andhra Pradesh: Schools to run for Half day from April 1 amid rise in temperature and covid cases
Andhra Pradesh Education Minister Adimulapu Suresh said that the schools in the state would be run for half day from April 1. He revealed that the classes will be held from 7.45 am to 12.30 am followed by mid day meal. The minister clarified that the decision was made because of anthe rise in temperatures and increase in coronavirus cases. Read Full Story

Andhra employees to get groceries for discount, govt. to start a new portal
The state government is developing a special portal to provide home appliances at a lower price than that of open market. Andhra Pradesh Technology Services Limited (APTS) is developing a portal called 'G-Cart' similar to Amazon and Flipkart to offer computers, tabs, mobile phones and other electronic home appliances at discounted prices. Employees login by entering the ID number and develop the portal so that they can purchase goods. This portal is currently being tested experimentally. Security auditing has already been completed. 30 per cent fitment to govt. staff in Telangana: KCR

AP temple officials begin preventive measures amid impact of Coronavirus second wave
The second wave coronavirus outbreak is having a severe impact on the temples in Andhra Pradesh. The temple officials were alerted as the cases were increasing day by day and taking preventive measures in advance and have suspended the distribution of Annaprasadam and meals at Srisailam Kshetra from today.
