To promote 'Make in India' in Defense sector, Govt ban some weapons

New Delhi : In the midst of the Corona crisis, the Government of India is putting full emphasis on promoting 'Make in India'. In order to promote Make in India in the defense sector, a ban will be imposed on the import of 101 defense related items including several weapons systems, fighter aircraft and ammunition. A list of goods for which imports are to be banned has also been made.

Andhra Pradesh: Second wave of coronavirus hits Kakinada of East Godavari

The second wave of Covid -19 has adversely affected the people in the district and particularly school and college-going children. The education department in the district is put on high alert against the spread of Covid -19 cases after 180 Covid -19 positive cases were reported from Tirumala Junior College in Rajamahendravaram and government schools in the district. Corona update: 431 fresh positive cases in Telangana, 2 deaths

Telangana recorded 431 fresh coronavirus positive cases taking the total number of cases to 3,04,298 while the death toll rose to 1,676 with two persons dying of the virus in a single day. Meanwhile, the total number of recovery cases reached 2,99,270 with the recovery of 228 persons in the last 24 hours. Union Home Ministry issued an Order containing Guidelines for effective control of COVID-19. It will be effective from April 1, 2021, and remain in force up to April 30, 2021.
