Telangana News: TDP MLAs from the Prakasam district wrote a letter to Telangana CM KCR on the Veligonda project. Telangana wrote a letter to the Centre two days back urging not to release funds for the project. TDP MLAs have appealed to Telangana CM KCR to reconsider the complaint, saying that it is not right that there are no permits for Veligonda. They pointed out that the Gazette had stated that the project was not sanctioned due to the AP government but they have made clear that the project was mentioned in the 2014 Bifurcation Act along with including Kalvakurthi and Nettempadu, was also included. Telangana News: The CCS police have obtained key evidence in the case of Karvy MD Parthasarathy, who is facing charges of bank loan evasion and diversion of funds. Weather report: Heavy rains to lash parts of Andhra Pradesh on Sunday and Monday
A low-pressure area formed on Saturday in the northwestern Bay of Bengal near the southern Odisha-north coastal Andhra and the adjoining west-central Bay of Bengal. In addition, the surface periodicity continues at an altitude of 5.8 km above sea level. On the other hand, the low-pressure area extends 0.9 km above sea level to the eastern central Bay of Bengal and extends towards the AP. Hence, the meteorological office said that there is a possibility of heavy rains in the state for the next two days, and scattered showers are expected in Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East Godavari, YSR Kadapa, and Kurnool districts on Sunday. The Hyderabad Meteorological Department has forecasted heavy rains across Telangana for the next three days due to low pressure in the Bay of Bengal. According to the forecast, one or two places will receive heavy to very heavy rains, while others will receive thunder and lightning along with the gusty wind.
