Corona update: 5,892 fresh positive cases, 46 deaths in Telangana

Telangana registered 5,892 fresh coronavirus positive cases and 46 deaths until 8 pm on Thursday pushing the total tally to 4,81,640 and the fatality count to 2,625. Meanwhile, the recovery cases went up to 4,05,164 with 9,122 persons recovering from the virus in the last 24 hours. At present, there are 73,851 active cases in the state. Read Full Story

Guntur reports 1,348 new Covid cases on Day-2 of curfew

There was good response for curfew in Guntur district on Thursday. All the shops and business establishments, hostels and restaurants were closed by 12 noon due to imposition of curfew in the backdrop of increase of Covid-19 cases. Telangana to obtain testing kits from Tamil Nadu and Karnataka

To meet the demand of the antigen kits in the wake of rising COVID-19 cases, the Telangana government has shifted its focus towards the southern states Tamil Nadu and Karnataka to procure testing kits. 50% beds to Aarogyasri patients must, says CM Jagan Mohan Reddy

Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy directed the officials to increase the availability of beds for Covid treatment. During a review at camp office here on Tuesday, the Chief Minister said the state has created new records in terms of conducting coronavirus tests. He said 50 per cent of beds must be provided to Aarogyasri patients in Aarogyasri empanelled hospitals and if more than that number of patients come, they also should be admitted. Read Full Story
