Coronavirus In India: India reported 2,64,202 fresh COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours with a positivity rate of 14.78 per cent, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare informed on Friday.
The fresh infections in the country are 6.7 per cent higher as compared to yesterday's figures as India reported 2,47,417 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday.
Of the fresh infections added today, Maharashtra reported 46,406 new COVID-19 cases, Delhi reported 28,867 new COVID-19 cases, Karnataka reported 25,005 new COVID cases, Tamil Nadu reported 20,911 new cases, West Bengal reported 23,467 new cases, Uttar Pradesh added 14,765 fresh COVID-19 cases, Kerala reported 13,468 new cases and the rest of the cases were added by other states.
Coronavirus in Andhra Pradesh: Andhra Pradesh reported 4528 fresh Coronavirus cases taking the total tally to 20,96,755 cases across the state. While coming to fatalities, one death reported on Friday in Prakasam taking the to 14508. On the other hand, as many as 418 new patients were cured in the last twenty-four hours taking the total recoveries to 20,63,934 and there are currently 18,313 active cases.
According to district-wise data, Chittoor district reported 1027 new infections, followed by Visakhapatnam 992 and Srikakulam 385 while West Godavari has logged the least cases with 62 new cases in the last twenty-four hours.
Coronavirus in Telangana: The Telangana State reported 2,398 new Covid cases in the last 24 hours, with 68,525 tests conducted on Friday, taking the number of active cases to 21,676. It also reported three deaths and 1,181 recoveries.
According to the Health department media bulletin, 1,233 cases were reported in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) limits, followed by 191 in Medchal-Malkajgiri, 192 in Ranga Reddy and 78 in Sangareddy.
Delhi reports 24,383 new cases, 34 deaths and 26,236 recoveries; positivity rate at 30.64%
Andhra Pradesh reports 4,528 new cases in the last 24 hours
Odisha registers 10,273 Covid cases, four deaths
Of the 10,273 fresh cases, 1,065 cases are from 0 to 18 age group. Highest of 3,496 cases were reported from Khordha district followed by Sundergarh (1049), Cuttack (844) and Sambalpur (529).
