Mittu Changappa, a resident of Madikeri, was filled with immense joy and satisfaction as he cast his vote at the Madikeri Sant Michael School Polling Station. His elation was not only because he was the first voter to do so on this day, but also because he had the privilege of being the first voter in 30 consecutive elections over a span of 60 years. Mittu had cast his first vote in 1962, and since then, he had never missed an opportunity to exercise his right to vote.
