In a shocking incident, a 22-year-old man killed his mother by beating her with her dumbbells at their house in Sultan Bazar police station limits on Sunday midnight. Going into details, the accused was performing exercises during the midnight when his mother scolded and asked him to go sleep. Enraged over it, Sudheer Kumar hit her on head with dumbbells. The woman, Konda Papamma sustained severe head injuries and died on the spot.Read more
The Andhra Pradesh state government delegation met the Centre on Monday over pending issues in Andhra Pradesh. The delegation, led by YSR Congress MP Vijayasai Reddy, includes AP Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy, Chief Secretary Sameer Sharma and other senior officials. They held talks with a team of central secretaries. The state delegation will ask to approve the revised estimates for the Polavaram project, release of funds due to the state under the revenue deficit and release of funds to all the institutions to be set up under the Bifurcation Act.Read more
Hyderabad: The Telangana government is spending around Rs 6,000 crore for supply of drinking water to the areas in outskirts of Hyderabad. The minister on Monday laid a foundation stone for the water supply works under phase-2 of ORR at Alkapuri township in Manikonda. Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that the the project which was taken up at a cost of Rs 587 crore will provide water to villages, colonies, gated communities under ORR limits.Read more

According to the police, Venkatakrishna from Nesepet in Dharmavaram is working in the SBI Bank in Tadimarri branch. In 2016, he married Venkata Sujana (26), daughter of Kondaiah and Gangadevi, a couple from Proddatur in the YSR Kadapa district.Read more
