Performances:
Tharun Bhascker Dhaassyam breathes life into his character. Though this is his debut movie, Tharun Bhaskar has given his best in his performance and proved that he could entertain the audience not only with his directional skills but also with his performance. Abhinav Gomatam delivered an honest performance. The way he has portrayed his character is really worth appreciating. Naveen George Thomas performed really well. Anasuya Bharadwaj's energetic performance added more strength for the movie. Vani Bhojan is too good in her role. Avantika Mishra's screen presence is really impressive. Pavani Gangireddy justified her character really well. The rest of the actors also made their presence felt.
Technical Aspects:
The way director Shameer Sultan has taken an interesting concept, laced a beautiful story around it, and filled with entertainment is really good, and he has succeeded in handling some sensitive issues and generated comedy. His pace of narration is also excellent and will make the audience stick to the chairs. Production values by Vijay Devarakonda under the King Of The Hill Entertainment are lavish. It is evident that Vijay Devarakonda has invested decent amounts without compromising in terms of quality. Music by Sivakumar is outstanding. Keeping the song aside, his background score is really amazing and lifted each and every scene of the film. Cinematography by Mathan Gunadeva is beautiful to watch. Editing by Sreejith Sarang is neat.
Verdict:
The director not only concentrated on the entertainment factor but also gave an interesting storyline for the film. The way he has narrated the script is not really entertaining. The characters are designed strongly, which is definitely a plus point for this film. The movie starts off on an interesting note but then it comes down to boring. The entire first half will have some routine comedy dialogues and it gives boredom to the audiences. The interval point is interesting. The story becomes somewhat slow in the second half, but some of the comedy scenes will change the mood and engage the audience. Good actors, engaging narration, and background score will be the highlights of the film. Some slow scenes in the second half will be the minus points in the film. To conclude, 'Meeku Matrame Chepta' is having a lot of flaws and the only saving grace is the comedy. Not sure, if it becomes a hit. The film is not for all classes of audiences.
