BJP adamant on communalising Sabarimala issue

It is indeed improper on the part of BJP leaders to gainsay Chief Electoral Officer Teeka Ram Meena who had cautioned political parties against using Sabarimala row for communal polarisation. It may be recalled that BJP leaders termed it as illogical and said there was nothing that prevented them from discussing the State Government's inept handling of the situation obtaining after the Supreme Court verdict.

As Teeka Ram Meena pointed out, the Sabarimala row was a raging issue and it had snowballed into adopting a communal colour adequate enough to stoke up the fire of communal violence. Fortunately, Sabarimala season passed off peacefully and nothing untoward happened as the peace surpassing all understanding prevailed and remained with the country thanks to the various factors that worked well for it. But the BJP has not minced words and it will go ahead and discuss the Sabarimala issue in the party.

This is not good for a national party as every issue that might stir up the hornets' nest must be avoided for the best interest of the country. But without paying heed to the caution of the Chief Electoral officer Teeka Ram Meena, it has taken a different view eying a big vote bank. People truly loving peace can only pity for them.
