Covid-19 pandemic — A universal challenge
We know what is happening currently all over the world. The Carona Virus that was first traced in China last year and has now turned out to be a global pandemic.
Most of the countries declared lockdown to prevent its spread. However I feel this virus has taught us some lessons.
During lockdown, I learnt cooking while assisting my mother. We as children are playing indoor games such as carroms and Chess.
It has become a practice for me to verify dictionary to know new words and their meaning. It helped me to improve vocabulary. My father also found time to test my writing kills.
Of course I read some story books and daily news papers too. To sum up I learnt many things and also improved my daily routine.
Both the Central and State governments gave strict guidelines to safe guard the health of all of us and it is good that all of us followed meticulously.
A great service given by doctors, nurses, sanitary workers, police, armed forces and officials was duly appreciated by one and all.
It was told by world at large that the age-old traditional customs and healthy food habits helped Indians to meet this crisis with least damage to lives.
Social distancing, sanitation and hygiene, wearing of masks and proper house keeping - priority to cleanliness are the precautions we need to observe.
It may take two or three years time to get a vaccine. But as per latest information the medicinal drugs will be available in one or two months time.
Till such time it is good on our part to be much more cautious in ones daily routine. We have to follow the government guidelines in letter and spirit.
As a student I expressed some of my views. But I conclude this with a request to my fellow students to take a lead in following the rules with the zeal of national spirit.
As is known "Today's children are the citizens of tomorrow". So more responsibility lies on us. Is it not!
