Golden chance for south India
The Congressmen in Kerala got a new lease of life after the formal declaration of Rahul's candidature from Wayanad. The party was dillydallying on the decision for fielding Rahul from Wayanad though the party had officially announced his candidature from Amethi.
Thus, the entire Congressmen in south India are over the moon, and the prospects of Congress win in the south India have become an easy thing with Rahul's entry into Wayanad.
In this context, it may be good for the CPM to support Rahul Gandhi by withdrawing their candidate as a quid pro quo basis. The CPM too is keen to prevent the BJP from coming back to power for the second term and so they should find this as an opportunity to extend support to Rahul Gandhi for the best interest of the country.
In politics, there are no permanent enemies and no permanent friends, only permanent interests. So, millions of people want Rahul to be elected unopposed let alone with a thumping majority.
It is expected that all parties concerned irrespective of colour or ideologies must second Rahul so that he gets elected easily to become the Prime Minister of the country. It is a golden opportunity for south Indian too to see him to don the garb of the Prime Minister.
